you are taking action at the retail level. It doesn't matter that it all comes from the same place. If the largest retailer has to operate a smaller profit margins to maintain revenue, the smaller retailers will not be able to compete at their higher prices, a downward trend begins in acceptable profit margins with these retailers, and therefore prices lower. Dismiss it all you want, but you still get your gas either way at no higher a price than you are paying now, and you could help improve a situation that everyone wants to see something done about. Or we can all just bash Bush and whine about cronie-ism, blah blah blah, and continue to have our apathy taken advantage of. Whining and misdirecting hostility has become a sort of national pastime now anyway so why would you stop now? I personally dont want to see alternative fuel vehicles, I say more hummers more SUVs, suck the middle east dry and tell them to go fuck themselves when they come crying to america and europe because they have no source of income and their people are beating down the palace doors. In the meantime I dont appreciate being taken advantage of by my own people.
